The Florida Coalition of Christian Private Schools Accreditation, Inc. (FCCPSA) was founded and continues to be led by men and women who believe that parents are responsible to direct the education of their children in all areas of life, including academics. Our mission is to encourage and help in the development of the Christian Private Schools, Religious Exempt Child Care Facilities including Gold Seal Accredited Centers throughout the State of Florida that partner with those parents on a daily basis.
The FCCPSA began with the development of a comprehensive Private School Administrator's Manual over twenty years ago. The Administrator's Manual is designed to guide organizations through the entire operation of a private school, from the legal options when starting a school, through high school graduation. Workshops and on-site training for administrators of both private schools and Religious Exempt Child Care Facilities are conducted throughout the state several times each year. For member schools, the goals include on-going teacher training, teacher certification and full accreditation for a school, and the Florida Gold Seal Quality Care accreditation for the Child Care Facility.
Accreditation
Obtaining the status of being a fully Accredited School or Child Care Facility displays to the world that a school has demonstrated excellence in academics. The accreditation process is designed to improve the educational and spiritual quality in private schools regardless of size.
If your school sees the need for accreditation as an organizational witness of credibility, the FCCPSA is a great place to start. The FCCPSA offers accreditation based on the concept of voluntary peer recognition aligned to recognized standards. In other words, institutions sharing common purposes and distinctions are better able to assist one another in achieving quality academic standards for excellence and responsiveness to their respective hometowns, and the nation.
K-12 Member Resources
Annual membership in the FCCPSA provides the means to help with training and support for our members. Our goal is to provide you with the most up-to-date information and resources available through workshops, emails, manuals and accreditation. For additional detials go to the Membership page . .
K-12 Schools Accreditation
One of the purposes of the FCCPSA is to prepare our member schools for excellence, and we believe well-informed school administrators will lead the way. One system of developing this process is working through the Accreditation Division of the FCCPSA.

K-12 Teacher Certification
The Master In-service Plan allows teachers to earn credit for conferences and workshops attended, school in-service sessions, religious courses, seminars and the like. Our partnership agreement guides the process of Florida teacher certification and re-certification.

Religious Exempt Child Care
Faith Based Child Care Facilities in Florida that are "an integral part of church or parochial school", have the option to become a Religious Exempt from licensure Child Care Facility under a DCF recognized accrediting agency which shares their world view.

Gold Seal Accreditation
The Florida Legislature established the Gold Seal Quality Care program to acknowledge child care facilities and family day care homes that are accredited by recognized agencies and whose standards reflect quality in the level of care and supervision provided to children.

Training and Workshops
Administrator Workshops are scheduled each year for both private schools and child care facilities. From legislative updates to small group round table events, there is no subsitute for face-to- face learning, and fellowship among Christians who labor in the same field.

The FCCPSA maintains an integrated partnership with Cognia, formally AdvancED, the parent organization of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools CASI, the North Central Association CASI, and the Northwest Accrediting Commission.
This partnership allows FCCPSA accredited schools to obtain both FCCPSA and Cognia/SACS accreditation through one seamless process.

The FCCPSA is an approved member of the National Council for Private School Accreditation which is dedicated to the accreditation process as a viable and responsible means of establishing a witness of school excellence.
The NCPSA is a member of The International Alliance for School Accreditation which is a coalition of regional, national, and international accrediting bodies.
In 1996, the Florida Legislature established the Gold Seal Quality Care program to acknowledge child care facilities and family day care homes that are accredited by nationally recognized agencies and whose standards reflect quality in the level of care and supervision provided to children.
The Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) requires that all full member senior high schools be accredited by an approved accrediting agency to play sports in the state league.
