Reasons for CCF Accreditation
One of the purposes of the FCCPSA is to prepare our member Faith Based Child Care Facility (CCF) for excellence, and we believe well-informed facility administrators will lead the way. One system of developing this process is working through the Accreditation/Inspection Division of the FCCPSA.
The FCCPSA Accreditation/Inspection Division is composed of administrators and directors with many years of experience in the practical aspects of overseeing children and in the administration of the child care facility. This accumulated wisdom has brought to fruition the Faith Based Child Care Facility Accreditation/Inspection Division of the FCCPSA.
Accreditation comes from a root word similar to that of ‘credible,’ which is to be believable. Therefore, an accredited child care facility with the FCCPSA would denote a facility which is believable in its educational efforts of excellence and child care.
The Accreditation/Certificate of Inspection demonstrates that the Faith Based CCF has high standards to ensure a healthy, safe and Christian environment for the children and to improve the quality of their care through regulation and consultation. FCCPSA ensures that the Faith Based CCF Accreditation standards are met through on-going inspections which in turn will help to prevent substandard operations of any child care facility.
FCCPSA is listed with the Dept of Children and Families website as an accrediting agency for the Faith Based Child Care Facilities.
FCCPSA is dedicated to recognizing and improving the educational and Christian qualities in child care facilities, regardless of size. We’re committed to building a strong and Godly foundation for children. Under the umbrella of our organization, it is our intent to assist the administrators to teach and train children in Biblical precepts.
The steps to accreditation are threefold:
- The CCF must be a ministry of a FCCPSA private school or must be a ministry of a local Christian Church.
- Submit a one-time application.
- Submit to an on-site inspection.
If this challenge is interesting to your child care facility, please print and complete the CCF Accreditation application after contacting the FCCPSA‘s office for the steps and cost in becoming accredited.
